If someone ever dares to tell you that you have too much jewellery, don’t listen to them! For starters, you don’t need that much negativity in your life.  Chocolates get eaten, flowers die, but jewellery stands the test of time and always tells a story. Be it a token of love, a holiday memento,  a good luck charm, a family heirloom, a just-because or even an investment; if a picture is worth a thousand words then so too is a piece of jewellery. Jewellery adds richness, another layer in the style story. It can either compliment or it can transform – you decide.

Ms.Yin | Ms.Yang are complete jewel junkies (if you hadn’t already noticed)! For all the reasons above (and probably because we are easily distracted by shiny objects), we’ve never been able to deny ourselves jewels. So, we are always delighted to find new jewellery labels on the local scene. This time the spotlight fell upon:  Casapuri a jewellery brand that seeks to celebrate the culture, history, and beauty of South East Asia. Casapuri was founded by Yulia, who is Javanese, and who was inspired by her time in Bali. From this experience, Yulia wanted to share with a wider audience the local artisans’ silversmith skills that she discovered in Bali,  and with each Casapuri design Yulia seeks to transform the traditional into a modern elegance whilst not forgetting the all-important tropical-island vibe.

Every Caspuri piece is lovingly handcrafted from sterling silver by local artisans in Bali and Java islands who have passed their skills from generation to generation.  Traditional patterns dating back to centuries are combined into more contemporary designs whilst ensuring traditions live on and proceeds from Casapuri items help to sustain the work of local artisans, hopefully, for generations to come.

Casapuri where memories live on, and where words fail, jewellery speaks.
